Promoting a backend product in a frontend report

Filed Under (Promo Code Marketing Tips, Promo Code Uses) by Kevin Riley on 31-05-2008

When you have a bigger-ticket backend product. Create a smaller, low-priced frontend report or guide. With the guide written so that it is a natural follow up to go on and get the backend product, you can increase the conversion by giving away a promo code password (just for readers).

Camtasia and video

Filed Under (Promo Code Marketing Tips) by internet marketing on 30-05-2008

You could produce a simple camtasia capture or video and redirect straight to a promo landing page. The landing page could be “specially for the viewers of …” or “VIP code” or you could put in the video that people following the link after the video will have a special discount.

More ways to use PromoCode Software

Filed Under (Promo Code Marketing Tips, Promo Code Uses) by Justin on 30-05-2008

As a charter member and beta tester for Promo Code software, I realized early on that this software was invaluable for ANYONE that wants to promote themselves, advertise or do any marketing online.

1. One way to use it, is as a Keyword tool for your website.

For example, most everyone is aware of AOL keywords that they still use to this day. Some media outlets and social networking sites use keywords as a fast way to refer someone to a topic or location on the site, without having to use a full URL.

2. This leads to the second method, which is to use it to promote affiliate programs.

For example, you may send out emails to your lists, that promote certain programs and you probably use some sort of tiny url service or send them a direct URL link.

Since PromoCode Software is server based it can be used with any website or multiple websites. This means that with PromoCode Software you could send them to your own homepage (http://alliantnetwork.org) or a landing page on your own website and then give them a keyword to find out more information.

This does two things, it makes your prospect get used to doing some action, which is like saying yes in face to face sales. If they are conditioned to say yes, they tend to keep saying yes and it could improve conversion ratios.

The second thing this does is continue to brand your site and gets them to your site, which might mean they will look around and buy or sign up for something instead of not even seeing your website.

3. Then my last one for this post, is you can use PromoCode Software for offline advertising.

Anyone who wants to not just be successful but make really big money knows that you don’t ONLY advertise online, but you must do it offline too. The so-called gurus that make millions and millions online, know this all to well. It is little known secret to making big money.

Examples might be to run ads in magazines, newspapers, flyers, direct mail or postcards or you use any other type of media you might be able to afford to effectively market the products or services you are selling. With PromoCode software you use an advertising or marketing code to track where people are coming from. This helps you to know if the money you are spending off line is generating any hits and it allows you to use a clean URL.

If you have any questions or comments for me, feel free to go to our company website at: http://alliantnetwork.org and enter keyword: support
Then submit a question to the sales department with my name Justin in the subject and I’ll get back to you.

Thanks,
Justin

How Promo Code Software solved the missing link in my lead capture page

Filed Under (Promo Code Marketing Tips) by Russell \"Success Sensei\" Small on 30-05-2008

As a Personal Development and Marketing Consultant I make a living by being full of fresh ideas that will help my clients gain perspective, earn profits and add control in their personal and professional lives. A recent business initiative was to offer my joint venture partners a lead capture or landing page for one of my particular services using some form of code generation marketing. After asking many developers who were either too busy to work on the project or unsure of how to figure it out, I felt frustrated and hopeless, like I would now have to learn HTML and spend countless hours developing a product that would be reliable enough to put on my website.

That was until I came across Promo Code Software (PCS). At first I assumed it would be a good product only if you were already an experienced software user or website developer. However, what I found was the opposite. In fact, the coding was so simple that within 10 minutes of purchasing the product I had a fully functional website with code marketing capability. The easy to navigate user panel works like a monitoring station for my marketing efforts, I generate each one of my select joint venture partners a different code which can be instantly tracked to the results via the PCS site. I preach to clients to have track-able systems that measure the results of their marketing efforts and Promo Code Software is simply the perfect tool for tracking promotions.

By the way, if you would like to find out what an hour long strategy session can do to relieve the bottleneck pressure that is choking the success of your business then pop right over to my site and enter the limited time special promo code: “Jason” for 50% off of the cost for a 1-on-1 professional strategy session for your small business. It is my small way of thanking Mr. Alexander for all that his hard work has done towards the promotional future success for me and my clients. I look forward to uncovering and sharing new ways to use this invaluable tool.

Twitter Tips

Filed Under (Marketing Tips) by admin on 29-05-2008

Microblogs like Twitter are not a fad and they aren’t going to disappear anytime soon. These types of social networking sites are literally growing by the second with no end in site.

When I first heard of Twitter (and saw it), I have to admit…I thought it was pretty useless. Actually, I was more puzzled by it than anything. I didn’t see the point, at least not right away. Well, now I’m completely blown away with how effective it can be.

Problem is, Twitter limits you to 160 character posts. That’s not a lot of room to get your message across. In fact, the last two sentences that you just read contained 109 characters…51 more characters and my post would exceed it’s limit. So as you can see, you can’t really post substantial info on microblogs.

That’s one MAJOR reason using promo codes forms on your blog can be very useful. Make a “tweet”, that’s what they call it on Twitter, and announce a promo code for “whatever”…..it could be for an affiliate program, it could be a review site, the promo code could be used to show a special offer page, anything.

You could upload a promo code form box (like the one on THIS blog above)….drive traffic from Twitter directly to YOUR blog and have them enter the promo code that you announced on twitter.

This is getting REALLY good because now you are driving traffic back to your site or blog where they can see your latests posts, offers, etc, and have them enter the promo code that you advertised on Twitter to direct them to the message that they were trying to get to.

(Just a little promo code software plug) – And another way you can use promo codes without giving a discount.

I’ve also scoured the net for some other handy Twitter tips. Here are few links to some other blogs that give some pretty good tips:

Common Affiliate Marketing Mistakes

Filed Under (Marketing Tips) by admin on 26-05-2008

The 3 Most Common Affiliate Marketing Mistakes and How To Avoid Them

Affiliate marketing is one of the most lucrative ways of making money with a home-based business. Everyone has an equal opportunity to make a profit on the internet. Since affiliate marketing programs are easy to join, implement and pay commissions on a regular basis, more and more people are looking to market other people’s products through the affiliate marketing venue.

However, like other businesses, there are lots of pitfalls associated with affiliate marketing. Committing some of the most common mistakes could cost a person to lose a large portion of their time and profit. That is why it is better to avoid making them from the beginning.

Here are the 3 most common mistakes made by new affiliate marketers.

Mistake #1: Joining the wrong affiliate program.

In a rush to replace a tiresome job, people tend to choose a bandwagon product because they think it is “hot”. They choose a product on the strength of its demand in the marketplace without actually considering if the product is appealing to them.

Research your niche industry to see if a particular type of product is in demand then choose a product that appeals to you. Pick one that you think has value and you can get behind. Promoting something you are interested in is much easier than promoting something just for the sake of making money.

Your feelings of enthusiasm can carry you through times of frustrations and doubt if they occur. Your conviction for the value of a product could come from a number of features such as its ease of use (simplicity), its benefits (improving work or home conditions) or its compensation structure (commission). What is it you like about it?

Mistake #2: Joining too many affiliate programs.

Since affiliate programs are very easy to join, you might be tempted to join multiple programs to try to maximize your earning potential. Though it is important to have multiple sources of income this is always a pitfall for the inexperienced. Concentrating on and mastering one product before adding another can keep your mind clear and you able to reach your financial goals sooner.

The result of dispersing energy on multiple programs can be a lower-than-expected income but through no flaw of the product . The best way to get excellent results is by joining just one program that pays at least a 40% commission for each sale. Then give it your best effort. Promote it enthusiastically. Once it is making a reasonable return you can afford to turn your attention to another product.

Affiliate marketing is fast replacing conventional marketing techniques and promises a strong future. There is no need to rush into several programs at once. A newer, better product will always be just around the corner. In this case, less is certainly more.

Mistake #3: Not using the product that is being promoted.

An affiliate’s main purpose is to convincingly promote a product or service to customers. To achieve this purpose, an affiliate should be able to easily relay the benefits of the product being promoted. Marketing is more believable when it’s coming from personal experience. Becoming a product of the product really pays off.

Research or try out the product before you begin promoting as an affiliate. Your insight and testimonial will help you attract buyers who are looking for something similar and will result in fewer returns. Your customers will feel the sincerity in your promotions and will more likely buy it for themselves.

These are just a few common mistakes to avoid in your affiliate marketing career.

Use Promo Codes In Coupon Directories

Filed Under (Internet Marketing Tools, Promo Code Marketing Tips, Promo Code Uses) by admin on 24-05-2008

Coupon directories are a great place to post you promotion codes for a number of reasons.

For one, it’s another way to get a link back to your site and hopefully more targeted traffic. You get the added benefit of having your link on a high page rank site as well.

There are literally hundreds of coupon directories online. Just do a search on your favorite search engine trying various terms like, coupon codes, online coupons, promo codes, discount coupon codes, etc and you’ll see a number of them pop up.

A number of these coupon directories allow you to anonymously submit your promo code. One example, and a favorite of mine at the moment, is Retail Me Not. It has an Alexa rating of 3270 (which is excellent) and a Google Page Rank of “6″ (also good).

The reason I prefer Retail Me Not is because it’s actually a social networking site as well. In fact, I just signed up myself. Here is my profile and official invitation to join the group I started on the site:

Promo Code Software Community on Retail Me Not

I did a basic Google search for online coupon directories and came up with a few. Keep in mind though, I haven’t fully researched how and if you can add your promo codes to these sites. I just wanted to give you a start for your research.

  • Coupon Cabin – Must have 3 month Alexa usage level greater that 50,000. May be difficult to get listed.
  • Ultimate Coupons – No real easy way to sign up. I sent in a request for inclusion. We’ll see on this one.
  • Cool Savings – Hard to navigate. Haven’t figured out how to include or add a promo code.
  • Shop At Home – Currently researching. Have a ticket in with them to contact me.

Other directories include:

Again, I haven’t navigated through all these sites to see how or if you can add promo codes. I just wanted to give you a starting point to look into these as I do.

What I have found, however, is that many of these sites including some of the ones listed above, require you to pay to list your promo codes. The terms vary. For example, I was checking out ShopAtHome.com and it appears that you pay based on the traffic to your particular listing. Probably very similar to a pay-per-click system.

For now, start with RetailMeNot.com, join my community, and start listing your promo codes.
